Study, You Slacker.

This morning I had midterm in Cultural Anthropology. I can't believe that it's suddenly week 5 and I'm halfway through the quarter. My midterms started last week on Thursday, so I have no idea how I did on them.

My Intro to Linguistics midterm was Thursday morning. I prepped by making a zillion flashcards. Flashcards seem to work for me, I dunno, I think it helps me to write everything out. I think I did okay on it, though, so that's good. I know I missed a few things, but not so much as to seriously detriment my grade. I hope.

Math was Friday. I didn't really study for that. I mean, I looked over it and everything, but I've never known how study for math. Somehow, I've gotten through sixteen or so years of schooling having never really studied for a math test. Does anyone know how to study for math? Ergh. It's no good.

Then Cultural was this morning. Holy. Crap. I should have studied. It's not hard material, I know that, and had I made flashcards I would have been fine fine fine, but I didn't, so it sucked. Oh well. I think I did C-ish. Not awesome, not awful. I'll let you know, though.

On the personal front, things have been slow. I've worked maybe one shift in two weeks. My last check was $140 and I know this next one is going to be even less. Not to mention the fact that I get paid every two weeks, so that's $140 for two weeks worth of work. Does anyone else think that sucks? Because I do. I really do. On Saturday I took Mimi to Kentucky to get a new puppy. She decided her dog, Jake, needed a sister, so I found one on CraigsList. Her name is Mannie and she's the cutest, sweetest dog ever. She did, however, get carsick three times on the way home, making an easy hour and a half drive an arduous 3 hour drive. And since Mimi is on oxygen, I did all of it. It was a trying day.

I'd say that I'm going to go study or do homework, but that would be a lie. Instead, I'm off to take a shower, come up with what classes I need to register for tomorrow (at 5:30am) and watch my Monday night television. Monday is my favorite day for TV. It's when all the good shows are on. Basically, at the end of my first real entry in my dealing with college blog, I'm letting you all know that I'm gonna be a slacker tonight. Awesome.
